Exercise Stress Test (Graded Stress Test)
This test examines your heart while at rest and during exercise. EKG and blood pressure readings are taken while you exercise on a treadmill. If you are unable to exercise, certain medications, such as dobutamine, can be used to stimulate the heart. Combining this information with other factors such as your age, the cardiologist can assess your cardiac health and risk for heart attack. This test can be performed at Lakeview Heart Center. |
