Volunteering at Lakeview Hospital
(651) 430-8522 or email
Volunteers at Lakeview Hospital are an important part of our team. If you are an active, compassionate person with time to share, we'd like to talk to you! We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities (see below) and a friendly, caring work environment. Most volunteers work one 4-hour shift a week. Because of hospital screening and training requirements, we ask adult volunteers to make a 6-month minimum commitment.
Becoming Involved
Begin by completing the volunteer application and health form. To have an application packet mailed to you, please call (651) 430-8522. Return completed application to:
Lakeview Hospital Volunteer Services

High School And College Students
Students gain valuable experience in a medical environment in our school year or summer student volunteer sessions. Students need to have completed ninth grade in order to participate.

Applications for the fall session are due by September 10, 2010. Mandatory orientation will be held on October 5, 2010, from 3:00 pm to 5:15 pm at the hospital.
Lakeview Hospital also has a six-week Explorer Program for students (age 14-20 years old) who are interested in medical careers. Each session introduces students to various areas of medicine (possible topics include nursing, emergency medicine, surgery, obstetrics/gynecology, pediatrics, laboratory, pharmacy, radiology, paramedic). The next session will be offered in winter 2011. Explorers is offered in association with the Northern Star Council.
